| Purpose/Function | The State of Louisiana's Department of Wildlife & Fisheries created the Lake Fausse Point, Lake Dauterive and Grand Avoille Cove Advisory Board (Advisory Board) to advise the secretary on matters pertaining to the preservation of the Lake Fausse Point, Lake Dauterive and Grand Avoille Cove area and on the development of recreational opportunities. The Advisory Board also has the authority and responsibility to assess the impact that natural processes and human activity are having on the area and to advise the secretary on policies and projects that will preserve the natural state and viability of the lakes and environs, and at the same time make recreational enjoyment of the area available to more people. |

| Notes | In accordance with R.S. 56:796(D), the board shall terminate on December 31, 2019. There was a meeting on August 29th, 2016 and another meeting on September 26th, 2016.
