| Notes | Administrative Assistant Lisa Green resigned from the position effective January 15,2016. The Southern University Board of Supervisors will be holding elections during its November 25, 2016, meeting. A new chairman and vice chairman will be named. In addition, there are a total of 5 members of the board whose terms expire 12/31/2016. Mr. Michael Wells was hired in the administrative assistant position effective January 3, 2017. Mr. Michael Wells was promoted to another position at the University effective January 2019. Mr. Robert Rene' replaces Mr. Michael Wells effective January 2019. Robert Rene replaced Maya Banks as the Board Relations Coordinator in October 2019. At the same time, Tracey Taylor-Jarrell joined as the Assistant to the Board Relations Coordinator. The Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Atty. Domoine Rutledge and Vice Chairman Rev. Samuel Tolbert were both re-elected at the November 2019 Board of Supervisors Meeting. At the November 2020 Board of Supervisors meeting Atty Domoine Rutledge was re-elected as Chairman and Edwin Shorty was elected as Vice Chairman of Board of Supervisors. At the November 2021 Board of Supervisors meeting Atty Edwin Shorty was elected Chairman and Dr. Rani Whitfield was elected Vice Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. Tracey Taylor-Jarrell became a Board Relations Coordinator in April 2022. At the November 2022 Board of Supervisors meeting Mr. Myron Lawson was elected Chairman and Dr. Rani Whitfield was re-elected Vice Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. |
