| Purpose/Function | The Life Safety and Property Protection Education Board shall have the authority to approve all training, certification, and examination requirements for licensure and to approve written training programs as acceptable equivalents for meeting the training or examination requirements of the "Life Safety and Property Protection Licensing Act" (R.S. 1664.1, et seq.). The board may also accept, as such an equivalent, licensure of a firm or person by a jurisdiction outside this state which has standards and requirements of practice which substantially conform to the provisions of R.S. 1664.1, et seq. The board shall also establish continuing education requirements. |
