| Notes | Note 1: No monies are received by the LA Legislative Youth Advisory Council. Oversight of the youth council is provided by the LA Commission on Civic Education. In accordance with R.S. 24:974, the Commission may, on behalf of the youth council, "seek, accept, and expend monies from any source, including donations, state appropriations, and federal grants and may seek, accept, and use services from individuals, corporations, and governmental entities." For information on any monies received for the purposes of the youth council, see the annual financial statement of the LA Commission on Civic Education. Note 2: Members of this youth council are minors; therefore, no personal identifiable information will be given. In accordance with R.S. 24:973.1(G), "Other than the name of an applicant, information contained in the application form of any person under the age of eighteen applying for membership on the council shall be confidential and shall not be subject to disclosure." Note 3: The names of members (minors) of this youth council will be posted on this site once parental permission is granted. |
