| Notes | Louisiana Crawfish Research & Promotion Board 11-26-2012 This board established in the mid 80’s has always operated on self generated funds, which are reaffirmed by a 5 year required referendum by the producers that provided the assessment to the board. Through the many referendums it has always been reaffirmed by a large majority. This board has never requested or received any funding from any other source, including local, state, or federal governmental budgets. It is one of the few self sustaining boards that operates on the funds that it raises by the will of its industry. Its performance and relevancy is checked regularly by its five year referendums. This board has not used the budget system means of accounting, but has used the standard business practice accounting system, that clearly accounts for all funds with the highest level of transparency.
