Purpose/Function The Bi-State Corridor Commission was created by the LA Legislature to provide an information forum on the construction, expansion, improvement, or extension of a route designated U.S. 371, including the four-lane improvements or any portion thereof within the boundaries of the district; the construction of bridges, overpasses, causeways, underpasses, traffic circles, interchanges, and landscaping relating thereto; and the long-term economic/industrial development and tourism development of the corridor area.

Notes The Commission is currently holding no meetings, but is taking care of providing updates to our members on any Federal Legislation or information of import through teleconferences; therefore, there are no meeting minutes.

Spoke with Cheryl McKinney special counsel with DOTD on the status of this entity. No one has been appointed to this entity. Will try to introduce new legislation if another legislation is called for this year. If not then she will introduce legislation for the upcoming year to have this entity disband. 4/29/25 jaw
