| Purpose/Function | The LPC Board (which includes the Marriage and Family Therapy Advisory Committee or MFTAC) is responsible for the regulation of Provisional Licensed Professional Counselors (PLPCs), Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (PLMFTs), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs). |

The Marriage and Family Therapy Advisory Committee's (MFTAC) budget is part of the LPC Board budget. We track MFTAC Board Member travel expenses separately; however, expense and revenue numbers reported for the LPC Board are reflective of revenue received for all license types and expenses incurred for the regulation of all license types. Also, in an effort to save on meeting and travel costs, the Board and MFTAC meet every other month. |

Please be advised that the budget information submitted as part of the report for the LPC Board includes revenue and expenses associated with PLPCs, LPCs, PLMFTs and LMFTs. The Marriage and Family Therapy Advisory Committee's (MFTAC) budget is part of the LPC Board budget. The application numbers vary year over year due mostly to renewal applications. Renewals for licensees are every two years. The Board Member travel expenses reported herein are reflective of all Board Members as the members of the MFTAC are also full, voting members of the LPC Board.
