Notes Louisiana Automobile Insurance Plan (LAIP) is governed by Louisiana Revised Statutes Title 22, Section 1475

The LAIP does not receive any funding from the state of Louisiana. The funding is provided through assessments on the automobile insurance industry.

Until January 2007, the LAIP was administered by the Property Association of Louisina (PIAL). When this relationship terminated, the LAIP unfortunately was only able to secure a few records. Historical records, knowledge..etc were lost. Therefore, board member information is being reported from January 1, 2007 until current. Only Denise Brignac, Noel Bunol,and Bobby Dupre have served on the governing committee since that time. All other positions have changed throughout the last nine years. Elected positions serve (1) year terms in accordance with Plan of Operation and appointed positions serve the term of the appointer.
