PORT OF COLUMBIA MAY 18, 2017 MINUTES The meeting was held on April 20th @ the columbia business center. The meeting was called to order by Darron McGuffee. The following where present: Darron McGuffee, Bruce Frazier, John Cooksey, Charles Hearns, Monty Adam Jr. and Greg Richardson. Minutes and financial statement for April were presented and discussed. John Cooksey made motion to accept the financial statements and the April minutes, seconded by Charles Hearns the motion passed. Motion was made by John Cooksey to pay $300 to John Carroll CPA for Services rendered, seconded by Bruce Frazier the motion passed. Items discussed 1776 entergy has left the property and is in the process of removing their property. Greg Richardson talked with Mike Mcdonald who assured me the area would be cleaned and presentable to the Port Commission by the end of May. Greg resubmitted past rent due by 1776 entergy for payment. Discussed potential renter for vacant warehouses and Greg stated that he planned to meet with Johnny Martin with Terral Riverservices to discuss a focused marketing effort to identify potential tenants. Columbia Eastside Water well project at the port. Richard with Terral Riverservices agreed to mow around scales and scale house in exchage for ability to continue using scales at grain elevator. Greg Richardson asked for the Port of Columbia to help sponsor the 2017 Columbia Fireworks, the Columbia Port Commission was a sponsor last year(2016) but Greg Richardson and John Cooksey each paid the $500 sponsorship fee. The item was tabled due to a lack of a motion. Motion to adjourn was made by john cooksey and seconded by bruce frazier the motion passed and meeting was adjourned.
