State Office Closed in 28 Parishes Wednesday, Aug. 30

BATON ROUGE: Due to extreme weather possible as Tropical Storm Harvey impacts Louisiana, Commissioner of Administration Jay Dardenne is announcing that state offices will be closed Wednesday, Aug. 30, in the following parishes: ACADIA, ALLEN, ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION, BEAUREGARD, CALCASIEU, CAMERON, EVANGELINE, GRANT, IBERIA, IBERVILLE, JEFFERSON DAVIS, LAFAYETTE, LAFOURCHE, LIVINGSTON, NATCHITOCHES, POINTE COUPEE, SABINE, ST. JAMES, ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST, ST. LANDRY, ST. MARTIN, ST. MARY, TERREBONNE, VERMILION, VERNON, WEST BATON ROUGE and WEST FELICIANA.

State government offices will remain open in East Baton Rouge and Orleans parishes.

State officials continue to monitor conditions throughout the state, and this announcement may be updated.

All agency heads are responsible for determining those essential personnel who should remain on duty or those who should report to alternate work sites if necessary.
