Office Closures Announced for Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21

Baton Rouge: Due to the extreme flooding situation throughout parts of Louisiana, Commissioner of Administration Jay Dardenne is announcing that state government offices will be closed Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21, in the following parishes: Acadia, Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Lafayette, Livingston, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Martin, Tangipahoa and Vermilion.

Essential personnel scheduled to work and those employees designated to work during emergency/office closures are to report for duty as scheduled or required.  Such personnel dealing with personal flood damage should contact their supervisors for instructions.   Commissioner Dardenne is asking and encouraging state employees without damage to assist their co-workers who sustained damage.    State officials continue to monitor conditions across the state, and this announcement may be updated.
